Music that inspires my filmmaking
Let there be NO doubt that music is my FIRST LOVE. Nope, I was not born with a camera stuck up my arse, I discovered filmmaking as a talent only in 2008. The roots of my music addiction are clearly visible in the films that i make. Let me take you on a tour and show you some of the bands that helps me blow the “writers block” into oblivion.
Jack White ( White Stripes)
Jack is such an anti-rockstar off stage. But once he is behind that guitar, he turns into this monster of a rock star. He to me is the definition of “PASSION“.
Brian Molko (PLACEBO)
Clever lyrics, off tuned, Melancholic and dreary guitar cries, that is PLACEBO -a state of mind that has a cult following. I try to write a script like Brian Molko writes lyrics to his songs. We keep idiots at bay.
Michael Hutchence – INXS
In Excess, baby. Yeah ! After the first two steps of finding passion and creating something clever, lets release the devil inside, and try to do it as smooth as Michael Hutchence.
Morrissey ( The Smiths)
What is life without being funny, blatantly funny. Whats funnier is when it is delivered daftly in a bouquet of flowers, that you don’t know what hit you – the sarcasm or the scent of roses. Morrissey is the king or inferior and sarcastic lyrics hummed in the sweetest tune. Being a rockstar singing about his short comings – you need big balls to sing about your small balls – go figure !
Johnny Rotten ( The Sex Pistols)
One word : Anarchy !
Tom Morello – Rage Against the Machine
Tom Morello? are you sure its not Zac de la Rocha? .. yes pretty sure. I don’t dig politics that much, and i’m fairly corrupt. Tom Morello for his inventive guitar solos, he uses the most unconentional methods to string out his guitar solos. But ‘Rage Against The Machine’ as a package …FUCK YEAH ! you won’t just retire lazy to the couch after that one.
Dave Grohl ( Foo Fighters )
A piece of NIRVANA, but yet not at all, Dave Grohl makes some fantastic and energizing music. Just the music to write character details to.
Desert Rock ( Eagles Of Death Metal)
Ever wonder there are so many gangster stories, bank robberies and American muscle cars in my films? I’m just born in the wrong part of the world … i really wanna be in L.A.
Thats it for this time my people. but let me remind you that this is just a quick list. If you wanna see what i listen to, the go to my LAST.FM page. (seen on the right column was well)
